Northside Deli at 162 Bank St. dates back to 1904, when Teddy Roosevelt was president and Batavia was still a village. The deli, locally owned and operated by David Stupp, is here to stay, open seven days a week and 365 days a year. Open Monday thru Saturday 9:00am to 8:00pm Sunday 9:00am to 7:00pm. Northside offers more than 40 made-to-order subs (“BATAVIA’S FAVORITE SUBS!!!”), along with “big salads.” wraps, soups, chili, and many other menu options. The Bank Street operation includes a complete delicatessen, serving FRESH cold cuts, cheese’s and FRESH vegetables sliced daily. It’s also a full service convenience store with “all your favorite beverages, groceries, dairy, tobacco, Hershey’s ice cream and an expanded ice-cold craft beer section,” along with coffee, cappuccino, and breakfast sandwiches. Available for larger gatherings are party trays, subs/wraps, meat and cheese platters, and salad trays.
